Loose door hinge 463

I have a question about this door hinge that appears to be loose on the pin. I am considering buying it as a fixer upper.

If anyone has had experience with this either in replacing the pin, or maybe the entire hinge needs replacement.

RE: Loose door hinge 463

The EPC shows a separate hinge pin available. It's P/N: A.460.723.00.52. Getting the old one out without messing the finish up too badly might take some effort.

A new hinge is in order. Not only is the pin worn but the sleeves would be worn as well.

Re: Loose door hinge 463

Ya, I was worried about ovalling of the pin sleeve. I have an extra hinge set from the "new" front door on my G500.

Crazy what they are asking for a replacement hinge.
Just MB prices I guess.

The pin would have to be pressed out with a burly hydraulic press. I could get that done at a machine shop pretty easily.
