Also is there a rear high stop break-light that will fit the older W463 that didnt come out with one ? Thanks

Also is there a rear high stop break-light that will fit the older W463 that didnt come out with one ? Thanks The round black plastic knob pulls straight off of the switch's shaft.I recently replaced my entire switch, as its internals got quite brittle, and the switch was not working smoothly with the firm "click" it had in the past. I replaced it with a used unit, "rescued" out of a wrecked W202 sedan. It is the same exact part number as used on my 1995 G320, and multiple other MB models. It's a good idea to replace the switch, as the internals get brittle with age and splinter/crack. The switches are also available new from MB, if desired. HOW-TO per switch removal is here: https://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12828

Gave up looking for an original high stop light and opted for a Narva after market unit which I have yet to fit but should do the job nicely.

Using the Mercedes G housing ( buy it from the dealer for $17) coupled with a long narrow similarly shaped LED strip bought off EBay.

Since it is LED it draws little power.
