| Mercedes-Benz recalls V-12 SUVs because they can reverse too fast

Mercedes-Benz is recalling its 2017 G65 AMG because the speed limiter in the reverse gear may be defective, allowing the heavy trucks to exceed 25 km/h while backing up.
Just 20 examples of the 621-horsepower twin-turbo V-12 G-Wagen are affected in North America.
Excessive speeds in reverse would make it much easier for the SUV to tip over, which is why the NHTSA is suggesting owners of affected vehicles return their G-Classes to the dealership, where the ECU software will be updated. |

Do you think MB would be kind enough to...I don't know, just lend me a few of those 621.
Really? 621. What the hell 4x4 needs that kind of hp. That's just pure unadulterated silliness. Anyone who buys that truck should be shamed...aka 'The Game of Thrones' style.

I absolutely love the 560+ hp and the exhaust.
Went from a 2003 500 to a 550 in 2014. That change was blah.
The 550 to 63 was night and day. 16 years of daily driving a G, and I am happier than ever. It is amazing. Never bored with it. |

Would be nice to have all that HP for some soft sand dune driving. I would love a G65. Too much $ tho. |
