G500 (2002) engine swap M113 --> M275

Hi all,
Im doing some initial investigation in regards to ability to do engine swap M113 --> M275.982.
What i have now - G500 (2002) with 250kmiles on it. M113 is great engine but it's getting tired. Looking to install M275 with complete cabin renovation.
I've already got 722.9 tranny from G63 (from what i found G65 with V12 has the same) and some electric items.
Biggest question - is it possible to do such swap or there is zero chances to complete it.
Secondly I'd love to remove turbos from G65 and make it naturally aspirated, but i don't know if it is possible such modification at all or not.
Project will be spanned for at least year, mainly to collect all necessary items, then actual swap and cabin renovation.
Budgeting approx 20k.

Any feedback/critics is more then welcome.

I´m no expert on this, but my guess is that trying to remove the turbos will give you massive problems with the engine management system not seeing them, and in best scenario forces limp mode, - plus maybe lots of other issue too.

Does turbo has it's own sensor(s) hooked up into ECU ? or ECU knows about turbos based on airflow ?
If turbos directly attached to ECU (via any type of sensor) removing turbos physically and 'disabling' them in ECU - would it be correct solution ?

The M275 is unknown to me - I have a twin turbo CDI (V8) and "wrong" pressure readings alone will force a limp.

Re: G500 (2002) engine swap M113 --> M275

What goal would there be in removing the turbo?

Engine is setup and expecting the air from the turbo to really function. Fuel map alone would always be in zero boost mode and I'm going to assume it has mapping for that but it won't be efficient or powerful and most likely go into limp mode fairly quickly. There is also a good chance the compression ratio is lower as its expected a few psi always to cram more air in.

If you got it running with no warnings the cool factor would be gone once you said NA .... especially if it was at one time.

1.5-2 bar is decent boost and I bet a bunch of the power.

Looks like the M137 is NA to start with....

Anything can be accomplished with the right attitude, time and money.

Find a wrecked G63 with good engine, cabin, electronics, loom and swap over to your body with lots of time to fabricate do dads, etc.

I am no expert but that would have to blow your budget.

Why not a NA 5.4 liter "55" motor and then throw some mods and a tune? That would get you to roughly 400 hp for a few thousand bucks all-in. The 55K supercharged engine would cost 2-3x more and can easily get to 550+ hp with minor tweaks....and a lot more possible. Both are M113 engines and would be relatively easy compared to the M275.

Re: G500 (2002) engine swap M113 --> M275

Wow thats a big project. I haven't done it but I have swapped non-native powerplants. I can tell you it will always be cheaper to buy the model you want to make. Making an MBUSA vehicle run well with that much modification is basically swapping every inch of wire from one body to the other - essentially only keeping your old body/frame. If you found a heavily damaged G63 you could probably swap all the parts and come out ahead but that G63 would have to be cheappppp (see how many p's I used).
