Anybody has ordered a 2019 G-wagen?

Anybody has ordered, and is waiting for the delivery of his/hers now?

I would like to know, drive over to your garage, and kiss the secret grounds.....as my mom has cut off my allowances

RE: Anybody has ordered a 2019 G-wagen?

Karl, I was going to but I think I’ll wait for the 2020 model I don’t want all the bugs that go with the first year of a redesign

Same thoughts as Winston, here. The dealership, last I checked, was wanting a healthy deposit, with no pricing, and no choices of color, options, etc. Restraint.

It was nice to see your Adventure Wagen and Patricia in OR, I missed your lentils and laughter over a beer.

Yeah, can't blame you guys.

All the fancy new interior is hopefully not covering any hidden shortcomings......

My nephew did send me the photo of the G63 window sticker......will try to post it here

Sorry, can't upload the picture....a P3 nightmare? or the slow demise ?

Photos of the 2019 G-wagen as shown last week at the MB Star Pavilion on 17-Mile Drive/Carmel at the Monterey Car Week. I took these while MB was offering test drives to interested parties.

Not impressed with the redesign, TBH.

Re: Anybody has ordered a 2019 G-wagen?

A friend of mine has a G500 at home since Wednesday. The first major design drawback he has already discovered is that You can´t use the 16 inch wheels anymore, so choice of offroading tires is quite limited (at last in Europe).

Another friend was on an offroading event in Austria last weekend (with the old W463 ) and he met guys from the factory there who told him that LeTech is working on many upgrades from a heavy duty winch bumper through a roof rack to portal axles...

You might have to use some 17" ML Class wheels......

I think Daniel has 18 inch Tibus bedlocks which cost like 1000 euro/wheel

What are the new G wheel mounting details - PCD, center hole etc? Same as older ones?

I think yes, the basic 18 inch wheels (A4634012502) were used on the previous model as well.

BTW. the diesel model 463.349 with the OM656.929 (286 Hp) engine from the S-class is already in the EPC.

RE: Anybody has ordered a 2019 G-wagen?

I had the opportunity to look the first one at my closest dealer yesterday.

Ho-Hum! Definitely NOT my cup of tea.

The interior looks like it came out of a rice rocket. Cargo area is about half the size of previous models. Most of that missing cargo space it taken up with more upholstery and not with more leg room in the seating areas.

Oh my. That's a special kind of hideous.

Old nickname "The Iron Pig."

New nickname, "The Grinning Idiot"

Sorry to see it.

Haven't seen one "in person" but the photos on the net don't do anything for me. I'll keep my old one.

RE: Anybody has ordered a 2019 G-wagen?

What happened to the front end? It truly resembles a knockoff from Tata or China. No sour grapes here, I really just do not fine it attractive or interesting.
