Unfortunately I crashed it and no longer have it. Been looking for another Euro but have also considered some 04/05+ MBUSA trucks. Below are some images of the undercarriage of a low miles euro 99 from the rust belt. Major components look ok but there is more rust on other components than I expected for the miles. Could someone please comment on the rust and if looks excessive? Car also has a different exhaust set up that concerned me with dual mufflers on one side. That seemed odd. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Antonio

Maybe it's a muffler and a resonator with dual tail pipes, again, like a sedan. Pulling dual exhaust pipes from an in line motor with one exhaust manifold is pretty but an expensive waste and if not properly balanced (more $$) can lead to back pressure problems and you could end up with a costly dead pipe on far side from exhaust manifold. Also if hangers fail the weight can twist and break or unseat the manifold. A turbo motor needs larger exhaust volume as quick as possible so a single 2-1/2" or 3" pipe from manifold to tail will do the trick for the engine. A dual tail pipe end can be mounted for a beefier look but that's all esthetics.

Spray this mixture under the car once a week and let it eat for a week then power wash. Do this repeatedly until you're happy. It's safe and biodegradable and won't blind your cat.

Looks terrible but is likely to be functionally not important right now. 10 years down the line may be more issues if left untreated. Already you will have issues with rusty bolts and such, but a cheap price and low miles might make it worth it.

My previous truck was from the southwest so it didn’t have any corrosion like this below even though it had mare than double the miles. Good to know, thanks!

If I do, it will be the end of 34 yrs of continuous Gwagen ownership. No final decision on that yet.

If you came to the decision, I'm sure the list of interested parties would probably be a long one, but I would be one of them!

Forgive my curiosity, but do you have your eye on something else? Don't know if you recall, but I but 4 16" rims from you with Hankook tires on them waaaay back in 2002. I still have them and are now on my 2011 G. I still need a fifth one to complete the set. As I recall you offered me a good price at the time, so thanks again.
