By looking at the pictures, I would have thought that this one had been converted by Binz (http://www.binz.com/ ) in Germany and they make such a quality product that the vehicles they convert maintain the original Mercedes warranty. Were they then made locally or in Germany? mortinson, nobody want a ambulance or fire car. this cars have normally low kilometers but when there is a emergency they get threaten very bad (pedal to the metall) with cold engines and drive only very short distances. the other thing is all the special stuff build in inside for ambulance and firecars. when you put all this stuff out you have a half wreck with holes everywhere. other thing are furneral cars - they sell well here cuz they`re all in perfect shape and you get a huge station without blue lights etc. Edited by Mick 2/18/2007 12:16 PM

I would love to have an ambulance G-Wagen, with all the lights and stuff. Or better still, a hearse GWagen. Has anyone ever made one?. I could visualize at least one being made sometime in the future, 'cause what better way to show your true G-Wagen credentials that making your last trip in an all-black G-Wagen hearse? A hearse G-Wagen would be the ultimate G to take to a GWagen treffen -C'mon, be positive, have a laugh

I actually have in my "special papers" for that "if one day I will be on my deathbed" a request to use my G as my hearse to my place of burial. Special instructions include having the double doors completely open, the rear seat either removed or folded forward, and to have some rope system to secure the portion of my coffin sticking out the rear doors. Cutrrently with no children yet, the G will go to one of them. All this is contingent upon the G still being a running vehicle much later in my life. I do plan on being here a lot longer. By the way, I looked at the Wikipedia link on the Popemobile. So who successfully won the bid (auction) on a Popemobile for $70000+? I take it the Popemobile at Imperial Palace in Las Vegas is the modified Range Rover? I will have to see that the next time I am in Las Vegas.

Skyline - 2/19/2007 1:57 PM A new one I like that better than those super stretch G limos like the one seen recently on eBay that another post had comments on. Yes, the G500 XXL looks more praqctical for G limo. Very nice! I wonder if it is Fra Merkel's G for her Chancellor business.
