Navigation CD's - which are compatible?

Which navigation CD's will work with our head units? I have a 2002 G500. Same ones as the C-Class? CLK? ML? Which years? Thanks!

Also, anyone have any for sale? Looking for CD's 3 and 5.

check on e bay. Most of the disc will say what they work in. Dont get your hopes up to much though. Even with the dish they suck. Mine with the correct cd in only knows two roads in the hole city. YEAAA GO mb!!

I think this is the one you need. Ill double check when i get to my car. Also some one here said you can run newer 04 05 06 model year disk. I havent tried it yet.

Yea checked on eBay but a little weary of real vs. fake (burned) copies. Also, my nav worked perfectly so I'm hoping it will again! Did yours come from the factory messed up or did it just deteriorate over time?

I'm also wondering if the newer CDs will work? Most of the auctions don't list "G-Class" under the models the discs are compatible with...

Re: Navigation CD's - which are compatible?

Charles,

here is a photo of the back of the manual that comes with the complete set listing the vehicle compatibility.

The 11/2005 disks worked perfectly on my 03 G500. I have gone back and forth between disks 1 and 2 in my various travels and no issues so far.

I just wish for a more off road oriented data set of trails and various monuments - this is an offroad truck after all :-)

peace,
Leon

Re: Navigation CD's - which are compatible?

thanks for the info. If i could find a 05 model with all the roads on one disk i might get that. My biggest problem even with the armadas navi is i live is a twin city split state.

Which means on the benz if i wanted to use it say today in my regular driving. I would have had to use disk 9 for the first 3 miles then disk 4 for 15 miles to daycare, then disk 9 for travel for work this morning, and back to disk 4 for this afternoon. Not that it matter because it still will only tell the road your on as long as its a highway.

Now in the Nissan i have to choose a state when i leave to get step by step directions. But you can also just push OK when you start it and to goes to GPS and displays the street you and and all streets near by and as you cross over them like all cars should do.

Here is a 05.3 disc. Not sure it would would evern after looking at the above post lol...

From what I understand, DVD won't work? Has to be CD-based navigation program.

Re: Navigation CD's - which are compatible?

I just recently bought a 2002 G500 and the CD is for Florida...which doesn't help me as I live in Texas. Does anyone have a CD # 4 they might want to sell? I just need to know if it will work in the '02.
