It was at an off road park in northern Minnesota. There was no sign of the mud to come early in the trail. By the time I was into it, it was too late to turn back. It took me quite a while to get out, I finally shoved some downed trees into the ruts so I would have some traction. Unlike you, I got out under my own power, but just barely. The alternator took a dump half an hour later because of the the mudd it was submerged in Once back home, I bought a winch and mud tires Never had the same problem again Here is a pic shortly after we made it out of the mud trap. When I got back to camp, I took a hose and washed it out for several minutes while the engine was running... Everything ran fine again. Before you go through a lot of water, I've learned to shut off the A/C compressor and close the outside air flap (located on the firewall)

Or am I mistaken ? Glad you don't have the video to show our most embarrassing moment ,still I haven't laughed more or had more fun than on that day And as I remember your winch worked overtime and you where clever enough not to drown as well Corne

Hi Brent , I have fixed the same tires Michelin LTX on my 280 GE last year before I traveled away from my G . They are really nice on road and been off road on dirt and rocks their performace was also satisfactory to a Multiple usage tyre . I never had a chance to drive with them in snow ? any experience with these tires on snow ? Never mind the mud i don't like it and avoid it as much as i can . ReG , Shebl

It looks like that 'good' smelln mud too. If you happen to get stuck in my neck of the woods, around Knoxville, Tellico or Windrock, don't hesitate to give me a call. I can save you the Chevy embarassment at least.
