It was very moving. The suicide taxi had 7 rockets in it and it hit the passenger door of the G wagen where the Canadian diplomat wa sitting and killed. The G wagen was thrown through the air but suprising the front windshield didn't break. The damage was confined to the rear door area. Paul was driving at the time. His medical training and his teaching of another soldier on how to do a leg tourniquet saved his life. Anybody that says the G wagen isn't tough should look at the pictures. He is making progress and is now at home and adjusting to driving and house activities. He is still in the military and counsels other soldiers that have been wounded as well as doing speaking engagements. He was honoured at the home of the Governor General with his wife at a dinner recently. A very brave man Doug Dees

I communicated with Paul a couple of weeks back; and he shared that the hardest part of his new life is visiting the wounded soldiers coming home and being a role model for them and offering them hope. One helluva guy!
