Winter is around the corner and I feel like this would make my life much easier instead of winter floormats. I guess I could go with rubber ones, but I thought I'd give it a shot seeing as how the industrial look would seem fitting for a G. If not, do we have another source for quality floormats other than from MB?

No matter how careful you are they always spill. They might be ok in areas outside the snow belt. The best I found were custom made cocomats with a rubber backing. Cocomat custom made them to a pattern I created. They didn't charge me a penny more. They look great and do the job. I have had them since the G was new. At 40k miles they still look great. http://www.cocomats.com/home.htm Edited by 03-Gwagen 11/19/2006 7:11 PM

They claim it holds up to 1 & 1/2 qts of liquid.

The cargo mat looks like something I will invest in soon... The cocomats....do they have the pattern for our G's in their database or do I have to start fresh with my own measurements and pattern? But, I had them make up oversized ones to protect ss doorsill and gas pedal area. I also had them extend the mats so they go under the front seats. I made patterns and sent it to them. So do they keep that template in their database for future sales, or do I have to draw up my own and send in?

If you have water, or snow it just lets it run to the back or front of the car. While they look cool on some cars i would save my money if i was you.

Marc and 03-Gwagen, Thanks for doing the legwork on this! I'm hoping to order a set (maybe another with custom stitching) sometime this week. I may do a cargo mat too for the boot depending on the price...
