He is a pretty handy guy when it comes to electronics and car stereo installation, however, he cannot figure out how to remove the changer. He has contacted a few different dealerships asking whther they can just give him a copy of the cutsheet, but they have all refused stating that for a fee they can remove it for him. Does anyone have any experience removing the changer or can you scan me the cutsheets from the shop manual so that we can make this as quick and painless as possible? We anticipate needing about 30 seconds of removal to finish the job, but of course are stymied by the "how". So far we have removed the drivers side rear panel but thats where things go cold. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I posted the instructions on forum: http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/forums/showthread.php?tid=4012&pos...

Thank you very much Adoni. That is actually the installation for an AUX input on the navigation. I am looking for how to access the CD changer in the rear cargo area. The AUX input is another way to go to get the music into the system (I actually was going to try that method and you end up with a headphone jack in the glove box), however, the Dension kit that replaces the CD changer is what I ended up with. Thank you again and hopefully somebody knows how to gain access to the CD changer. Dean

I posted the hitch install on BenzWorld - http://www.benzworld.org/forums/g-class/1164844-2002-usa-g500-hitch-install.html?highlight=hitch Dave Hipine has a copy and was going to post them on ClubGWagen also. I never checked if he did.

It unbolts from the floor. Then you can take the changer out more easily, and reinstall the box.

Remove the trim piece. Peel back the carpet flap starting at the top. It is held there by velcro. Remove the two screws now exposed near the floor. Lift curved steel panel piece off. CD changer is now accessible.
