My G had this set up until recently, when my warm-up regulator failed and my mechanic replaced it with one without full load enrichment also he removed the vacuum line; I wasn't very impressed when I looked and saw parts missing I went and demanded why would he do such a thing, he claimed it shouldn't have the full load enrichment, "110 engines don't have it" his exact words. I told him this truck had it put it back! All the info I have says it should be there, can anyone post what type they are running? Edited by elevatorbernie 11/30/2006 12:58 AM

In fact this is somewhat timely because the replacement just died a few weeks ago, now I get roughly 250km (~24l/100km or ~10mpg) down from around 350km to the tank. My mechanic is actively looking at alternate warmup regulators from old mechanically injected mercedes cars trying to see if he can find a good one since last I looked mercedes wanted about 1000ish for a new gwagen one. I don't know whether the presence of teh vac line is the only indicator of a full load enrichment feature, but mine does have the vac line. Hey Chris, for a grand I'll sell you a WUC with the whole M110 attached! -Dave G.

Canada Vehicle(s): 1989 280GE Posts: 1347 | RE: warm -up regulator with full load enrichment If it has the vacuum line hooked on it that's the full load enrichment option. The regulator valve is actuated by a bi-metal spring with a heating coil, as it warms up it closes valve to fuel pressure. The vacuum line actuates a diaphragm that is connected to the same fuel valve within the warm-up regulator. This regulates fuel pressure depending on manifold pressure. When needed it adds extra enrichment when (more fuel = more power). My G had this, sadly dumb mech removed it and replaced it with cheaper normal type WUC, now I'm fighting with him to put proper one back on, I should have done it myself but I'm too busy at work; now I pay
