Small Button on Steering Column

I have a small button (maybe 1/4") on the right hand side of the steering column. Does anyone else have this or know what it is?

RE: Small Button on Steering Column

Push it when it is dark and see if it controls the lights on the steering wheel controls. My mothers VW has this and it bothered me for years until I finally figured out that is what it does. Worth a try.

Do you a factory cruise control switch on the left side of the steering column? Is the button on the upper right quadrant of the column? The button could be the capped-off mounting hole for the stalk-switch from the voice control option....

amzimmy, that is why they just shoot you from 20 ft away now. advoid the flames and the bean bag guns.
You cars in SA have a button hidden and you have to push it within 20 seconds of starting the car or even opening the door, if not car dies and you can not restart.
So there is the idiot that took it sitting on the road going OOPS

RE: Small Button on Steering Column

It looks like it could be a really small circuit breaker or reset button...
