I finally managed to get hold of a Becker Grand Prix head unit to restore the OEM look. After removing the Sony, I quickly checked, but the Becker unit does not fit into the Sony mounting frame. My question is this: Do I need a mounting frame at all for a 460/461 dash (given the OEM was probably Becker), or can I simply do away with a mounting frame and slot the Becker directly into the dash? TIA Danie | ||

TIA Danie Hi Danie, most German cars had the radio/stereo installed with a rear support bracket or a rubber mount slide in. The rear support might be a good idea if taking the G offroad.......
