It looks like there is a leak in the glass housing. Did the fog lights change to the new style in 07'? Does anyone know if it is possible to install the 07' fog light in to an 02'? Is there any difference in the wiring harness and mounting brackets on the fog lights?

I'll speculate based on other cases where they do a pretty good job of not changing anything that they don't have (read don't want to spend the money unless absolutely required, or demanded by marketing) that the mounts to the bumper are likely unchanged. SO if you don't care if they don't move and you don't care the cost, i wouldn't be surprised if they fit.

I get light out messages all the time. Usually after its rained a lot or we went four wheeling. At any rate, clean the connection and they work again 90% of the time. I cant remember right off if you have to replace the hole light or just the bulb... I know I busted my fog light and they are not cheap. Look on e bay. I remember some one having them for sale.

There was just a lot of condesation behind the glass. I cleaned the glass and housing then. Do you guys think some high temp silicone would fix the leaking issue? I'm going to take it apart on the weekend. If I'm lucky it will only be a bad connection as you mentioned. The dealer wants about $250 per light. I was just thinking about the 07' lights as an alternative to the stock ones. However, if I can get them they will probably be too expensive.

I had a chance to take the light apart tonight and the ground wire was very corroded. Cleaned up the connectors and it all works again. I thought for sure the bulb had burned out because of the water inside the housing. When there is a break in the rain I'll take it out again and seal up the leak in the housing. Thanks again for the help.

I have found that the vent tube allows very small amounts of condensation to collect in the foglamp. It might be worth checking that your vent line is connected, and that it is dry inside. On the 2002, the vent line is blue pvc. The other end of the vent line does not connect to anything, it just goes up to the area above the front wheel, where in theory it should not collect condensation. In San Diego, everything collects condensation.

Does the pvc tube connect to the back of the Fog lamp assembly? When I pulled out the front part of the lens I didn't see any tubes.
