I noticed that my steering damper appears to be leaking fluid (I'm sure lubricant) at the mid-point were the smaller arm engages the larger housing. Is this common? Thanks.

I could feel a difference between my old one and my new one as far as having it my hands were concerned. But driving down the road was obvious enough. You'll probably notice quite a difference with the new one.
