Get out with your G - CA, NC, VA, OR - USA

In looking around in association with another thread, I noticed Bill Burke has some events scheduled in SoCal and in North Carolina, Virginia, and Oregon in coming months.  A good place to get good off road experience with your G!  I have no business affiliation with Bill and Rachel, just known them for a long time and heard nothing but good experiences with them.  One of our own listers here just did a desert trip with Bill in Utah.  Maybe he'll pipe up.

Pipe...pipe!

Yes Dave, I'll have to second you on that. In fact, I was kinda considering signing up for the Uwharrie (NC) On-the-Road session myself, if it isn't full. I've been hooked ever since I had my intro to 4-wheeling under Bill's tutelage, right there practically in your back yard. It's always a challenging, interesting, instructive experience. And by the way, Bill is a nut.

(I have no affiliation with BB4WA either, except as a client).

I will be at the one in NC in lx450 (Lexus Land Cruiser) with triple diff locks. I hang around the G boards for G knowledge that I hope to get to use one day on a G purchase.

dont get me wrong but why does he charge $445+ to go wheeling? I would not mind doing the one in NC. I have no clue where the place in Va is...

Actually I've never seen any, in three outings -- not to say that it couldn't happen, but I don't think it would be welcomed at all.

Well, it is his livelihood -- gotta make a living and I don't get the impression Bill is doing this for the pay, to tell you the truth. And it is a lot more than just going wheeling.

But now I'm just shooting the breeze with ya... I feel remiss that we haven't even mentioned the world-class 4WD trainer right here in our little G community. Maybe Harald could speak to this issue with some authority?

"Vehicle damage likely on these routes."

I'm game... who wants to lend me his G?
