sun visor

hey guys.

does anyone else have a sun visor that flips down when the window is open or after hopping over a bump? kinda annoying.

question is, do i need to replace the visor or just do something like put some velcro on it & the roof liner? my visor is otherwise in good condition, but it just doesn't want to stay up. trying to decide which way to go, so curious to know what others have done.

cheers,
dd

Re: sun visor

thairish (dd),

There is a phillips head screw on the side of the visor that pivots that sets the tension. Pull the visor down or in your case let it fall down and you will see the screw head on the upper left if you are in a left hand drive G. Tighten that a little and the problem is solved!

RE: sun visor

Mine does on the passenger side when I hit a major bump off-road. I leave mine be to give the co-pilot something to do. ....now THEY might find it annoying.
Velcro should do the trick and you wont know its there....but I think the G engineers would roll their eyes in dismay as they seemed to like elastic straps and the like. One other thought would be a snap, you could screw one into the roof not visible under the visor.

Mike

I just read Dai's fix.....disregard my idea. Thanks Dai!
