G for sale Well, Reluctlantly, I'm going to try to pursue selling my Yellow and Blue 1980 280GE SWB. It has been my daily driver and service truck for the past year and I love it, but I'm going to sell it and replace it with a SBU Unimog (going to make the mog into a wrecker). If anyone is interested I'm asking $11,000 OBO or would trade it and cash for a SBU unimog. G for sale It looks nice, didn't you try to sell it before on ebay? BTW, how did the B&B(the cheap maroon one) special turnout? Did you paint it?

G for sale Harald, I guess that would help Specifics: Still has the M110 6cyl engine and 4 speed trans. Runs great and drives good. Came from Germany about a year ago, was told that it was being set up to run in rallys, but the company decided to go with the bigger truck class and run an Unimog. Has New Mastercraft 32x11.50 tires, aftermarket recaro front seats, drivers side 4 point harness, Blue ORC lift springs (I guess they are the 40mm versions, but I could be mistaken), Raised air intake plummed from stock air box, 8000 lb warn winch on hitch pin bracket, diamond plate aluminum inner door panels, Kenwood CD player, new carpet flooring (non origional), GPS Box on the roof (I haven't a clue what it is supposed to hook to or do), Complete new brake system last May (calipers, wheel cyls, pads, shoes, rear drums, front rotors, master cyl), New clutch master cyl at the same time, Radiator rebuilt with new core last July, New spark plug wires, cap, and rotor last August, Diamond plate aluminum where all of the rub strips were. No major rust to speak of, but there are a couple of surface rust spots. The only problems I know of is that it needs transfer case mounts (I have new ones, and will put them on soon, just haven't got a chance to put them in yet), and it needs a steering stabilizer (I'll take care of that too if you like). If anyone wants more detailed pictures, PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send them to you, I've got pictures underneath with the truch up in the air on our lift, and all around the vehicle. Cheers, Ben

G for sale RUYSENAARS, Yeah, I had it on e-bay before in the early winter. Some jerk bought it and didn't pay, so I mounted a winch on it and fixed the rear locker and continued to drive it. The Maroon one turned out to be a good truck, just needs some TLC, but I just have it stored in one of the buildings until I get time to paint it and fix all of the little electrical switch issues. Just another project I don't have the time to finish. Cheers, Ben

G for sale Thanks, DesertStar. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the Unimog yet, I was planning on using it for business, but who knows. If it turns out to be good I'm probably going to make it into a rollback tow truck and replace our Chevy... seems proper that a Mercedes mechanic should have a Mercedes wrecker . Or I may end up using it on the farm as a tractor since it has a three point hitch, PTO's, and a front loader. Time will tell. Cheers, Ben Edited by Merz-Ben 3/2/2007 3:12 AM

I'm only a few hours away and would love to pick this up! Alas, I'm currently trying to satisfy my speed addiction so I must prioritize. Wish I could sell the G500 and pick this up along with a few other toys :-)

G for sale Well, guys, I ended up buying another SBU unimog, that makes two now, so I really need to move the Blue and Yellow beast. I'm reducing the price to $9800, because I need to move it to make room for the Mogs. Cheers, Ben

That is the truck you drove to Tafel Motors to inspect my G for me. No mistaking that. The salesman really liked it.

G for sale If anyone is interested in my yellow and blue truck, I'll take $8700 for it. It has just been sitting except for the occasional parts delivery to Louisville since I got the mogs. If anyone can use it, PM me. Cheers, Ben
