I'm pulling out the rubber mats and having the top of the inside floor prepped and sprayed.

I am really interested in seeing the pictures. Make sure that you have any and all rust taken care of. Once that stuff is down, it's never coming back off.

Re: Having floor of G sprayed with Line-X

I had the floor redone last year, i had a very small amount of rust as the car was purchased new by its owner in Hamburg and shipped directly to Los Angeles. The car was kept in a large garage with numerous other vehicles before becoming mine. When they remove all of the seats etc, they completely prep the floor by stripping off the paint, looking for and removing any rust, applying a waterproof membrane etc and then applying the coating. I was concerned with this issue myself but am more comfortable having discussed it with them. They have shown me numerous accounts of jeeps and land rovers having this procedure performed at their shop.

same here -- looking forward to seeing your pics. are you doing the entire floor front to back or just the rear cargo area? are there drainplugs in the floor like in jeeps that you need spray around?

Re: Having floor of G sprayed with Line-X

Yes they are doing the whole thing from front to back, i know i have some drain type plugs under the front floor mats, not sure about the rest of the vehicle, but they have assured me that any of these access type holes/plates, such as the access to the fuel filter/pump in the rear cargo area will be fully accessible while at the same time being protected.
