I may know where a 1984 Cabori Jewel is stashed of you are interested. IF, and I say IF it is still avaliable, the owner was asking $22k and it had only 85k miles on it. The pic I have of it shows it to be a 2 door with a removable top. OF course, there goes my dream to own a diesel cabrio. I might be puesuaded to give up the contact info for a small finders fee. I have attached an older pic. (84 G Cabrio.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 84 G Cabrio.jpg (50KB - 2 downloads)

This is based on my knowledge of how bringing vehicles into CA works. E320 CDI's do not pass CA emissions. however, MB of El Dorado Hills does a decent business selling vehicles that have 7500 "Demo" miles on them from their Reno, Nevada dealership to individuals in California. Once the vehicle has 7500 miles, all that it is required to do is pass Federal emission standards for that specific year. However, with diesel things could get easier as diesel vehicles do not require bi-yearly emissions tests as gasoline cars do... Edited by Adoni 3/26/2007 7:19 PM

You should keep in mind that it has been some time since I knew of this Gwagen. It may not be avaliable at this time. However if you make contact and it is avaliable, I think a steak dinner is due.... Email me for the numbers. Please identify yourself on the subject line, gdinkins@triad.rr.com
