460 SWB 1980 brake light and turn signal troubleshooting

All
When I use the right turn signal, the left turn lits also but faded, both front and back. If I apply the brakes with the turn signal on, all lights turn on including turn signals.
Any suggestion on where to start, and the process of elimination to follow to find where the wires are making contact?
Thank you in advance

a friend of mine had a similar problem and traced it back to a main connection above the rear tow bar around the fuel tank area.(not the earth connection)that is screwed onto the chassis)

its a thick main cable housing that has an adaptor style connection that was plagued with rust etc... he has had no problems since.

good luck.

That does sound like the trailer plug socket lead, they can be a bit of a problem.
