RE: Hella black magic

I almost bought those, then decided the Hella 4000s (also black) were better made (ABS vs metal). The black magic is about the same diameter as the stock headlights, and not deep. If you dont like the big ol' chunky aux lights (aka 4000s), id get em.... In the end, i paid like $50 more for two 4000s, but, im happy with them

Re: Hella black magic

i do too but im not sure how they would look with a black grill behind them...

I also like the day star lights.. they even have the little "parking light" in the bottom of them like the factory head lights!

Re: Hella black magic

I had the black magic on the old ML and they were very good but then I added the 4000's and there was no comparison. The 4000 produced more focused light and had a longer throw. But the black magics were very, very cool.

RE: Hella black magic

I agree with marco, and the 4000s also have the little parking light, just like the G's. I like the look of the black magic, and think they will look cool with a black G, the main prob i had with the black magic was the fact they are plastic (i also like the way the 4000s fill the gap in the brush guard, they look centered). Btw, I have mastered adding AUX lights kerr, if you wanna drive up to chicago. hehe
