| 1982 230GE for my brother
My brother wants to buy a W460 SWB, for about 5000-7000 Euro. He is not going to use it as a daily driver, it will be a weekend and winter car and occasional off-roader The power is more important than fuel comsumption. So it is going to be a petrol engine. A nice 280GE seems very hard to be found, so he thinks about 230GE. There is not even one such car here in my country(as far as I know), so it is very hard to find any information. So a few question: is the power sufficient for serious off-roading? W460 is not a fulltime 4x4, so is it a good wintercar? Would it be a problem to cruise at 120-130 km/h/75-80 mph at a motorway(brother lives in a city, needs to get to places, where he can go off-raod)? I think, I have read something about differences between early and later W460, are they very serious?
