Hey everyone, Been away for a while. You know, the usual things ... work, holiday, snowboarding Here's a little story of how my 300GD experienced the greater things in life ... unlike me and my girlfriend. The 3 of us, being my Girlfriend, myself and our 300GD, had decided that it was time for a little trip and so off we went towards Andorra. My girlfriend had booked us a nice 2 star hotel about 15 meters from the cabin lift so what could go wrong. Nothing ... except for the minor issue that the hotel had no parking space at all. None what so ever. The girl from reception had two options for us: 1) A parking garage (still under construction) opposite the hotel and; 2) Ask for permission to park the car in the underground parking of a neighboring hotel First we checked out option #1 but with prices of €1,80 per hour that was a no go. For the non mathemagicians amongst us that would have worked out to a staggering €302,40 for parking your car Okay, on to option #2 ... the neighboring hotel. Yes, sure you can park your car in our parking garage. That'll cost you €18,00 a day. €126,00 sounds better and since it was already 22:45 and we had driven +/- 1350 KM's non stop we quickly decided to go for this option. Filled out the paperwork, obtained the digital code, paid the fees and off we were towards our hotel room for a good nights rest. Once in bed it struck me ... for the next 7 nights me and my girlfriend would spend the night in a €50,00 p/night two star hotel as where our 300GD would spend these same 7 nights in a €18,00 p/night FOUR star hotel We had a good laugh about it that night before we drifted off into the land of dreams. The next day we both seriously considered to cancel our reservation at the two star hotel and just sleep in the back of our 300GD while it was parked in it's four star underground parking space. Unfortunately for us in this case ... my 300GD is a short wheel based G which is just a tat too small for comfortable nights in the back. Anyway, we had a great time snowboarding in Andorra and driving around with our G in winter wonder land. Regards, NorthseaRoughneck PS: Special thanks to Mortinson and the Club Mercedes G España members who gave me some tips on snowboard locations

I bet the cost was close to the same when you add the "feeding" (fueling) the 300GD, your girlfriend and yourself ? Mike

I was wondering how much it would have cost you to stay in the four stat hotel. If you could stay there, would the parking have been free? In other words (assuming free parking), would it have been better for you to stay at the four star hotel?
