I found the equivalent of MB part# 000 589 67 21 00. (I thought Mortinson would especially enjoy this.) Since the steering box is such an expensive item, I wanted to be 100% sure the adjustment I did with my "Home-Brew" torque method was 160 Ncm or less, so I found Stahlwille part# 72/1. (see-- http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/forums/showthread.php?tid=5144&pos...) To my surprise ( and RELIEF!) my previous adjust was smack dab right on 160 Ncm (or 17 cmkp--- even with my science backround, I've never heard of cmkp!!) Also an FYI, this standard ball joint separator worked just as well as the $300 puller I borrowed. Anyway, now I can sleep sound, knowing things are "just right" Cheers! And you were right. I'll see if I can find the said tool at a decent price though something tells me that it will be difficult. Cheers | ||
