Cold Idle adjustment of Stromberg175 CDT

does anyone have any advice on how to adjust the cold idle RPM using the Stromberg carb? My g runs around 2500-3000 RPM for a long time after start up even after the car's temp guage reads 1/2 on its scale. I don't know if this is normal or not but it's kinda annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I can't help you on this, other than to say that you should get a copy of the workshop manual from Harald.

From my days with older vehicles I recall a Stromberg carburetor adjustment tool.

Mortinson, you're the bomb thank you very much for the hookup. Been craving your guys's wines as of late. If you're ever in Nashville I'll take you to a great Tapas bar in town. Well. . . mediocre Tapas but tapas nonetheless. There is a cold idle adjustment screw that needed to be fiddled with and that did the trick.

If you get to the point that you can no longer adjust the Stromberg you can change it out to the Weber Carb kit. I did this about a year ago so I could easily change jet sizes for the Altitude. I have been pretty happy with it so far.

Underserved, but will take up your kind offer someday.
