I've just installed a new driver's door window regulator in my 86 300GD and was surprised that the operation is not as smooth as the other three original windows. Should I expect some break in period? Is there some tweaking that will correct the alignment? It seemed well lubricated out of the package, so I didn't bother to add any grease. All other parts are original,( gaskets slides etc.) Any thoughts? Anyone have a favorite lube for the tracks that doesn't smear the glass?
