Tricky part no

I'm looking for the bracket that holds the Power Steering hoses to the cylinder head on an early 300GD - Vin 46033227021345. I cannot seem to find this item on the EPC!

RE: Tricky part no

Hi Peter,

I'm not sure if this is the part you are looking for but if it is Part No.s 59 & 75 in the attached photo then it will be A4604660140 and A6179950432 respectively.

 Regards John

RE: Tricky part no

The RHD 300GD I have has long rubber hoses going across the front of the cylinder head near top of engine, not the metal pipes crossing low like that EPC pic seems to indication.

I don't know the part number, Peter, but I could send you pix of the one I have!  :^)  I haven't tried looking up the VIN for this truck....maybe I should.   Now if I can only remember what I did with the ID tag when I scrapped the body.... 'course I can always check the chassis rail.

RE: Tricky part no

Those parts are unfortunately only valid for later vins's ( after 31425 ) , mine is an earlier one - 21345 - there is no mention of the earlier one. I have seen the bracket - its a simple straight vertical one mounted to cyl head at the front lift point - but cannot find it on EPC!

RE: Tricky part no

Peter,

Any of these brackets resemble your part?  If so, you'll find them in the engine section under "13 - Power Steering Pump".

If none of these are correct, the EPC shows that #41 in the diagram John posted as being the bracket now used on the earlier trucks.

RE: Tricky part no

None of those are correct. #41 which is the P clip holding pipe to bracket is correct , but no bracket is shown for older RHD model. Got a picture from above attached
