In a previous post, I promised that I'd give you a better idea of WHY I may not find exactly the parts I wish at the local MB dealer... Here it is. G-Wagen Boutique Need a mirror? Hungry? No worry, meat truck on its way...! And last, a view of the street outside my gate... Why on Earth would you want a G-Wagen??????? Please forgive the pictures' quality, they are just cell-phone snapshots....

That's two cows in the Volvo, and the hides are carefully packed with the meat 'cuz they're gonna eat 'em... Who needs shoes anyway? The heads are not skinned, that's for a special recipe. The legs are sold separately, cooked in a soup, hooves and all. And eaten hooves and all. Then you don't want to know about the dog market on Friday along the road to Ikang, and the pepper soup they make with the mongrels...

I see the same faces when I tell my British friends that one of my favourite dishes is "criadillas", i.e. bull's balls (What would you expect from an amateur bullfighter) You see, it's about that local saying that goes: Whatever you eat will grow on you Edited by mortinson 4/16/2007 2:37 PM
