Posts: 555 | Follow Up to Steering Problem I bought a new panhard road and compared it to the old one. The older one was about 5mm shorter, presumably because it was bent. The new panhard rod was made of larger diameter tubing 33.9mm compared to 30.3mm of the old one. The part number for the new (stronger/thicker version?) is 463 330 07 07. The old part was 463 330 04 07. While I was at it I replaced the drag link ends, tie rod ends and steering shock - they were all ready after 230,000km. I adjusted the toe-in and the drag link to centre the steering wheel. All now seems spot on. Thanks for the advice. Mike.

It would be helpful if you posted the list of part numbers needed. I suspect that a number of us 463 owners will need new rod ends soon.
