Turbo still blowing Oil

I had a minor bit of oil coming out of the top of the Turbo.
Could of been oil left in the intake, maybe from sitting so long needed to run in.
Well 500 miles and it has lost 2 quarts. Should I replace, the Turbo has almost 0 miles on it though that is what upsets me.
Would there be any other reason for oil to be coming out of the turbo ?

Re: Turbo still blowing Oil

No oil should come out of the turbo; none. You have a connection or seal issue. Clean it with brakekleen and try to find the source of the leak. A healthy diesel will go through a quart in 3000 miles. The oil loss you describe is serious and should be addressed by the company that installed it if it is new.

Working that. Mind you the Engine itself only has $500 miles on it

Re: Turbo still blowing Oil

It should have next to no oil consumption. A correctly built new/rebuilt diesel motor will not use oil. The rebuilder needs to address the problem.
