| Condition of Rear Diff Oil
Just changed my diff oil @ 5 years, 46,000 miles.
The rear was dirty and foamy.
Front was clear.
Is the dirty, foamy oil normal at this age? Thanks. |

It shouldn't ever be foamy. If it's not clear, then there's something suspended in it, most likely an emulsion with water. I would change it a couple of times with a few hundred miles between each change, and see if it clears up. It's better than having glitter in it, if that's any comfort. |

yea a few $100 bucks to change it a few times is a lot cheaper than a new gear set... After im out of warranty i think i might start doing this stuff ever year...
