RE: Summer tires

255x85 is 33x10 inch. I use 33x10.5 BFG MT and it's great for highway too. I have 30mm H&R spacers for extra stability and will get the tires siped. Admittedly wet behaviour could be better. That's for off winter. For snow&ice get proper winter tires (not M&S). I use directional Dunlop winter grand treks 31x10.5 and they are good. But also BFG makes good winter road tires. If you don't live in Iceland (38x15.5x15 at 5 psi) your highway winter tire should be smaller, narrower and heavily siped. Scandinavia allows use of studs too, unlike rest of Europe.
