I have tried to find this answer by looking at the EPC, but can not find the answer. While removing my fog lights today, I noticed that there was a clear plastic tube that runs to the left top side of the black plastic shell that holds the light inplace. I have clear plastic tube's that run to my headlights to level them, but I don't think this is the same thing. Does anyone know what these tubes are for? Thank you again. AGuess

Hi Alex, My understanding is that these tubes are vents for the lights so they don't suck in water and get condensation inside the housings. The tube should terminate up high on the front sheet by the radiator somewhere. Pretty clever eh? Adam

Apologies for bumping this ancient thread- my blue plastic vent tubes are extremely brittle- does anyone know the spec on the tubes for a replacement? And how difficult is it to route new tubing?

And how difficult is it to route new tubing? I don't remember how the tubing connects to the light fixture, but a piece of Tygon tubing from Home Depot might do the job. It just runs from the light up into the rear area above the fender liner, so routing it is not a problem.

The tubing slips onto a fitting- issue is mine is so brittle the tube splits very easily. Would make sense to replace with some latex or similar type of material.

I wouldn't use latex - it won't last long. The stealerships have big rolls of vacuum tubing on hand and fortunately it is probably the least expensive thing they sell - it's good to have in your spares kit as well.
