Posts: 2230 | RE: W460 front spring spacer i have just checked with my local mb parts dep... and was quoted about £5 each which sounds cheap enough to give it a try( i want to raise the front of my cab an inch or so,but they did not list it as a G fitment.107,115,116,123,126 etc..?? has anyone tried this method and been happy with it?

Posts: 850 | RE: W460 front spring spacer I have been following this thread and can add my 2 cents worth! Rather some time back I have fitted these spacers (btw: they are listed for the sedan 124 car as back/rear spring spacers).... yes, they do fit and lift the G suspension, front only, they don't fit the back spring on the G. However they last very little time, the spring will chafe through very quickly and in my mind its a waste of time and money, even if they are a few $. The time consumed, the tightening of the springs to lift them (Dangerous procedure), the dismantling of the front drive shaft (you may bend or damage it while dropping the front axle). is honestly, not worth the effort. Rather buy the proper spring (white-white) and be done with it. ...... been there, got the T-Shirt in the cupboard! amzimmy

I thought the fronts were immune to sagging, but this new one of mine appears to be too low. PEter

Posts: 850 | Re: W460 front spring spacer Peter, as I can remember, my first original set (Orange/Brown) sagged in the first 2 years and replaced with White/White (front and back) and never looked back! I must say I did a lot of off-roading in Lesotho! amzimmy
