RE: 460 rust issues

I would be interested in seeing, if it is possible, the failed part.
I suffered the same test failure recently but this was rust on the bump stop mount, as this is not load bearing the decision had to be reversed on appeal.

All parts welded to the Geländewagen frame can be bought!

By the way, I love these questions, you see to get them on all forums: "I have a Toyota, do you know who sell parts to these vehicles, or, I drive a Ducati, what dealer sell spare parts, or Kawasaki, Peugeot, or what ever? Good Fun!

Hey G. J.,

be happy that many are not that smart to realize that Mercedes parts could come from a Mercedes dealer - etc.
Enjoy the advantage of having figured that one out (and a few others along the way) and say "Thank you!" to them. As often as you can. Because it ensures you a better job, less competition and more money.

Harald, I must compliment you, (seriously), you have the diplomatic gift to be able to tell someone to "take a long walk on a short pier" and .........they will enjoy the trip!

true i could have gone to a dealer but i have recently discovered a local company who import mercedes parts and the price difference makes it worthwhile and i feel alot more comfortable walking into their warehouse rather than walking into a mercedes showroom
