jdc1244 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: 10 Greatest Mercs Ever The 113 roadster (280 SL) was a great and classic car but the 107 was the better and ‘greater’ SL. So well designed it ran from 71 to 89 and remains the quintessential MB roadster.

KylePavao Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: 10 Greatest Mercs Ever JDC comon now lets be serious of the 107, the W113 is so more elegant! SL="Sport Leicht" The W107 should have been the "560SP" for "Sport Panzer!" They are sooo heavy, and they just cranked them out and put every engine in them. Don't get me wrong I like them, but the W113 is so elegant, and sporty. The 107 is a tank, if not a cool looking one. And the 380SL..no disrespect to owners if the 3.8 V8..but single row timing chain..not good idea.

jdc1244 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: 10 Greatest Mercs Ever Actually there was nothing wrong with the single row chains, they were as reliable as the double row chains but the single row chains had to be changed every 70,000 miles, but no one ever did that. And it's still wrong to not have the 107 as one of the ten best.
