Well the SLR is not exactly what one would describe as limited production. However I do not see a problem with this recall. It sucks they didn't catch it pre-production, but I have not heard stories of SLRs catching fire so it must not be a huge problem. Ford had a recall on their GT and when Jay Leno was asked how that made him feel and he said it made him happy that the company was taking action post production. That is what Mercedes is doing here and I am glad. |
