Summer Sales Event commercials

Is it just me or are the new MB commercials getting more interesting, and frankly good lately? Did they fire the marketing director person or something and hire a new guy?

RE: Summer Sales Event commercials

The fact Mercedes has commercials is sort of bad...

I remember in the early 90's, when I watched television ALL the time, I hardly ever saw a Benz commercial. I do however remember seeing many ads in periodicals, like 80's and 90's National Geographic, Architecture Magazine(or something like that) and in lots of my mom's old magazines.

They should stick to print, and keep the commercials simple: stress their history and their older, superior engineering. Maybe people will begin to trust them again.

Well, you know how MB is sort of aiming at younger people. Younger people generally don't read newspapers or magazines as much as they do TV.

Bah

MB's stab at a young person car, the C230/C320 sport coupe was utterly embarassing.

Totally agree. The silly fashion-oriented ads they had out a few years ago were embarrassing.

MB should focus on a rational approach -- after all, they're still a German company...

Talk about why the cars are superior--if they believe they are...

Commercials aren’t going to cut it. DCAG needs to simplify, get back to basics, and fix the alphabet nightmare they’ve created. The car buying public has no idea what car is what.
