Hood star in an accident

Could the hood star hurt a pedestrian more than if the car didn't have one?

I would say it depends on the speed. After a certain point it would not make a difference.

RE: Hood star in an accident

Yea I think it could but think of it this way, if you get hit by a car any injuries that you get from the hood star will not be that bad when compared to the injuries from the main impact.

That's an interesting question AML.

Well, a hood star is certainly very good at aiming for pedestrians.

I don't think this little birdie likes the hood star that much.

I'd be more concerned with any of the following hood ornaments:

Well the hood stars do bend backwards I believe, at least they do on the W124.

Yea they have to much bend and the edges are kind of dull... I think we should look for a mod that makes the hood star solid and sharp possibly attaching the battery to the star so people will get shocked for trying to touch it.

:lmao:

One great thing about the W140 though, is once you have opened the door,
you can be sure that you have hit the old woman, because the doors are so large and solid.

Gotta love the perfect aim .

I mean..........................................gotta love.... the.....................W140...........
