Post you kill stories here. Doesn't have to be in a Benz, and you didn't have to win...as long as you still have your pride.

RE: Kill Stories

OK, so we were 12 clicks north of Da Nang. Word was that Charlie was coming up on our west flank. I was on point....

Smart ass. I'll start off.

We were in a W220 S500, and this Ford diesel pick up which was heavily modded started revving at us. Well to make it short we lost. I mean the S500 is a 14 second car, but with all that torque in the Ford, no match. BTW, we never went over the speed limit...by the time we knew we lost, which was like 2 seconds later, we just let off and went along our merry way.

Re: Kill Stories

Along time ago, I was driving in the benzy(240d), and when I stop at a light, an old vw bus van was right next to me. He reved his engine at me, and I was thinking "is he serious" so I reved my engine and when the light turn green, he was 20ft infront of me in the speed of light. On his bumper it says "Powered by corvette engine"..............

Re: Kill Stories

I was driving my mother's Taurus SES and a w124 wanted to run me-- So we did.

He left me in 3rd gear, but as we came around a large curve at 105mph, the light turned red and be both slammed on our brakes whereupon he lost traction, and when he regained his-- his wheels were pointing into the turn and he shot off in the other direction, running over the median and coming to rest dangerously close to a light pole and on top of a raised road divider.

I waved and drove off when the light turned green-- confident in my machine... can't say the same for an antiquated Benz with no traction-control system. Thing is-- don't all w124's have ABS? It really seemed like he locked his wheels and shot off when he regained traction?

Re: Kill Stories

The W124 will handle across any turn as long as you respect the car and know how to do things calmly, sounds like he was getting some heavy understeer and over compensated. I know that the W124 can handle turns very well though, ask the mountains.
