Naaa. we didn't mean that. Every W140 is cool, just how every W126 is cool. Just how every Mercedes is cool. In fact, the S320 is a good deal. All the luxury, without the cost of all the maintenance.

W164 (2006 ML 350)-- My first MB, and we all just love it.

I just borrowed my bro-in-laws ML350 for the last week and a half - it really was nice !

I found the little electronic "gearshift" wild :-)

All my drivning life my right arm usually is draped across the gear shift - had to break *that* habit !!!

RE: What Mercedes Do You Drive?

Jdc1244 was right. This thread got a little off topic so I cleaned it up a little. To show that I'm being fair, my 3 posts bit the dust as well.

Re: What Mercedes Do You Drive?

could the mods please seperate the last section of the poll? I added the R129 (SL) & the W209 (CLK), but they are together in the poll (make sure you add my vote wen you split them)

Looks like a lot of W126ers over here.

Either that or the other owners aren’t voting.

Either that or the other owners aren’t voting. :confuzed:

I suppose the number of threads in each section should reflect the votes in this poll.  For example: Unimog gets ONE vote, and that's me.  If you look in the Mog section you'll se it's a lonely place (for now) so we can assume there's only 1 Mogger on P3 at the moment.  Has anyone checked this?

RE: What Mercedes Do You Drive?

The 171 forum is very active but only four votes – perhaps the four of them are managing to generate a lot of traffic themselves.

It’s going to take a while for totally new people new to MB and MB forums to come here the first time. When that starts happening we’ll see the forums fill up.

very true. You can't even find Pointed Three unless you actually type in PointedThree Discussion Forums.

THAT'S THE ONLY WAY!

Not good. I believe most (if not all) current members come from other sites. What we want is MB owners for whom P3 is their first MB site.

Its because the damn thing does not come up in google when you type in something like mercedes or sclass, eclass like other sites do.

but every other forum does. We have to make it so that when someone types in Mercedes Forum, Pointed Three has to be on the first page of the list.

I assume, with respect, this is the responsibility of the site administrator.

yup, I think you are correct. Although, what will we have to do to get it on google? Do we have to buy advertisments on google?

Any WebMaster worth his salt can list your URL so that it comes up first on any search engine when someone is looking for an MB forum. I'm starting to worry about you guys!!

Typical Jayhawk "contribution". By this logic there can only be one webmaster "worth his salt" since only one can "come up first".

Spare us your genius, please...

Typical Marsden "contribution." Guess I'll take my genius back to that other site where it is appreciated... Will keep Googling MB sites, but am sure I'll never see threepoints. (Maybe someone really screwed up in selecting that cutsie name.)
