With it fully closed (or as "closed" as it can get if it's having problems), pull down on the control switch (i.e. as if you were closing it from the up-tilted position) and hold it that way for about 20 seconds. Eventually, it will raise itself to the up-tilted positions. Now, using the control switch as normal, close the roof, then slide it open fully (hold the switch - don't use its auto mode), then close it fully. This should re-sync it. By the way, the most common reason for the roof losing synchronization is because something got in the way of it opening or closing. For some odd reason, the sunroof is equipped with a pinch-protection circuit, but you still have to hold the switch to open and close it.
